Situated near the mouth of the Columbia River, Astoria is largely a maritime city served by the deepwater Port of Astoria. The community is also situated at the western terminus of the nationwide TransAmerica Trail, a coast-to-coast bicycle touring route established by the American Cycling Association. The Astoria Downtown Historic District Association (ADHDA) works with the City of Astoria, partnering organizations, our members, and our community to enhance our historic downtown area.
